The ‘Engage to Progress’ initiative provides an opportunity for people aged 16 and over and who are economically inactive to actively engage with the world of education, training and employment through facilitating and enhancing their employability.
Strawberry Fields CIC is one of the agencies involved in the initiative within the Lancaster District. Strawberry Fields CIC has a history of providing employability and employment training and support to people, particularly those who are amongst the most marginalised and stigmatised.
Throughout their involvement with Strawberry Fields, people engaged in the Engage to Progress initiative will have the opportunity to explore, practice and develop their employability skills in a relevant and meaningful way.
People will not be eligible if they are:
- In paid employment of any sort and/or any time per week
- On zero hours contract
- On maternity/paternity leave
- Self-employed or in process of setting up business
- In receipt of Universal Credit as a job-seeker.
